10th: Wheektown reviews the new Petcover insurance option for guinea pigs in Australia. →

7th: Latté is successfully spayed. →

August 2018

25th: Nutella is adopted out through the Gold Coast Guinea Pig Rescue. →
21st: Wheektown assists with a lecture at the University of Melbourne to teach veterinary students about guinea pigs. Juniper, Keppie, Latté, Puffie, and Mireya are used in the practical demonstration. →

July 2018

12th: The 18 transferred guinea pigs arrive at Gold Coast Guinea Pig Rescue.
10th: The shelter part of Wheektown is officially closed and the remaining 18 guinea pigs depart Wheektown with Dogmovers to be transferred to the Gold Coast Guinea Pig Rescue. →

May 2018

12th: Peanut and Caramel are returned to Wheektown. →

April 2018

28th: Dia is introduced to the permanent herd. →
​19th: Norbert and Rosie arrive at their new home in Tweed Heads. →
​17th: Norbert and Rosie depart Wheektown with Dogmovers. →
14th: Butterscotch is adopted out locally. →
12th: Jet and Nutella are adopted out locally. →
12th: Peanut and Caramel are adopted out locally. →
4th: Diaz undergoes revision surgery to fix an infection at his castration site. →
2nd: Liquorice, Honey, and Galaxy are adopted out locally. →

March 2018

14th: Bumble and Diaz are successfully castrated. →
3rd: Lola accepts Butterscotch, Nutella, and Jet, and acts as foster mother to them.
1st: Amber passes away. →

February 2018

​​​27th: Lola gives birth to Galaxy, Yuri, Birch, and Avalanche. →
24th:
 Amber gives birth to Butterscotch, Nutella, and Jet. →
​24th:
 Emu and Cristi are adopted out locally. →
21st: Rosie is successfully spayed. →
4th: Bumble and Diaz are returned to Wheektown. →
3rd: Wheektown officially relocates to Manor Lakes in west Melbourne. →
1st: Wheektown staff and guinea pigs begin the journey to Melbourne.

January 2018

17th: Blizzard is successfully castrated. →
14th: Blizzard, Lola, and Amber arrive at Wheektown. →

December 2017

18th: Rosie and Norbert are officially ready for adoption. →
6th:
 Lavender and Primrose arrive at their new home in Sydney. →
5th: Lavender and Primrose depart Wheektown with Dogmovers. →

28th: Wheektown receives official charity status with the ACNC. It is backdated to 1st October 2017. →

 Rajah and Cristi are successfully paired and officially ready for adoption. →
