How to Help

There are many ways to help out the guinea pigs at Wheektown.

Using our services

Boarding
If you are going away, let us look after your guinea pigs for you. They will have a lovely time in our cozy quarters,
and all profit goes directly back into the guinea pigs. Find out more here.

Pampering and health services
We do nail clipping, hair trimming, bathing, and skin care with products specifically catered to guinea pigs.
We conduct basic urine tests using both dipsticks and microscopes, as well as parasite and fungal treatments.
Our health checks are completely free. Find out more here.

Buying from us
We focus on making and selling things that you can't buy elsewhere. We even have the world's only line of guinea pig board games! Find out more about the games here, and about our other products here.

Donate or sponsor

Financial assistance is always welcome, and a once-off or regular donation, or credit toward our veterinary or food bill, goes straight toward the guinea pigs at Wheektown.

Volunteer or foster

Wheektown is in need of volunteers, both on-site, off-site, and long-distance. Fosters are also greatly appreciated for the guinea pigs who need some extra attention.

Enter our fundraising raffles

Wheektown often holds raffles to cover the cost of specific cases, offering some lovely
guinea pig-related prizes as a thank you to our supporters.

Spreading the word

Let your family and friends know that Wheektown offers guinea pig services.
Educate others on the proper dietary and housing requirements of guinea pigs.
Above all, remember that guinea pigs are complicated creatures and do not make good starter pets.

Help out other rescues

If you are unable to help Wheektown out, don't worry!
There are plenty of guinea pigs around the world needing help. A list of guinea pig rescues is available here and,
like all animal shelters, they are always in need of volunteers and donations.
